“I started my apprenticeship at the City of York Council in June 2019. My apprenticeship is divided into 4 placements working with the different teams in HR; Workforce Development Unit, Pay & Reward, Resourcing and Performance & Change. I have already been given so many opportunities to build on my first experiences working in HR, including: implementing the new absent management system, designing and organising the activities for the Corporate Induction and promoting Apprenticeships at multiple events across York.
My confidence has already grown massively since starting my apprenticeship, as I have been able to develop my skills to allow my quality of work to continue improving, which is appreciated and complimented by my colleagues. I am then able to reflect my experiences and new skills in my assignment work for my Level 3 CIPD qualification.”
