This apprenticeship is for learners who work in, or who want to work in Business Administration in job roles such as:

• Personal Assistant
• Office Executive
• Office Supervisor

The apprenticeship is designed so that the apprentice gains an in depth and rounded knowledge of all business related subjects.

Typical areas studied include:
- Manage Personal and Professional Development
- Principles of Administration
- Principles of Business
- Contribute to the improvement of business performance

Apprentices will be taught using a mixture of seminars, workshops, online materials and self-study. Assessment will take place using a variety of methods such as work-place observations, written assignments, presentations and feedback from managers.

There are no formal entry requirements; this will be decided by each employer.

To be eligible for this apprenticeship you must not be enrolled on any funded training courses or hold a qualification already in a similar subject at the same level.

Employers who do not pay the apprenticeship levy may be entitled to 100% funding if the apprentice is 16-18. Alternatively employers are required to contribute 5% which can be split over a number of months.
