Overview

Duration – This apprenticeship will typically take 24 months not including the EPA period
Level – Level 5
Qualifications – The apprentice will complete the CIPD Intermediate Certificate or Diploma in Human Resource Management Apprentices without level 2 English and Maths will need to achieve this prior to the end-point assessment.

Who is the course for?

Typical job roles include HR Manager, Senior HR Advisor, HR Consultant or an HR Business Partner in different organisations.

Individuals in this role will work within a varied HR function and have access to opportunities across a wide range of areas such as policy, HR advice, legislation and people management.

Eligibility

Apprentices will be qualified to level 3 in HR or have several years experience in a junior HR role.

To be eligible for this apprenticeship you must not be enrolled on any funded training courses or hold a similar qualification already at the same level.

Employers who do not pay the apprenticeship levy may be entitled to 100% funding if the apprentice is 16-18. Alternatively employers are required to contribute 5% which can be split over a number of months.

Topics & Assessment

Apprentices must complete at least the CIPD Certificate in Human Resource Management (6 modules) although we include the Diploma (8 modules) for no extra cost. Typical modules include:

• Developing Professional Practice
• Using Information in Human Resources
• Employee Engagement

Each module will be assessed by a written assignment of between 2500-3500 words.

Alongside the CIPD qualification, apprentices will receive workplace visits; this will involve a number of assessment methods including observations, professional discussion, questioning and viewing products of work as well as speaking with peers and line managers. Our trainers will provide on the job coaching to help learners put their newly gained knowledge into practice.

Delivery Model

Apprentices will be assigned a development coach who will guide them through the apprenticeship using a mixture of tutorials, 1:1 coaching sessions and online materials for self-study.

Workshops to study the Diploma will take place online at the moment with other apprentices from different organisations to give apprentices the opportunity to share best practice and knowledge. Closed cohorts can also be delivered if required.

HR Consultant/Partner Apprenticeship

This apprenticeship is designed for those progressing into a role as an HR Manager, HR Consultant or HR Business Partner. Apprentices will typically have studied HR at level 3 or worked in a junior HR role for several years.
