Functional Skills Tutor

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan and delivery of Functional Skills in Maths and English
• Teach functional skills to cohorts of learners and on one to one basis
• Support individual learners to progress in line with learning plans
• Develop resources and contribute to the FS curriculum
• Track and report on learner progress
• Meet the company requirement to complete functional skills within the first 6 months on programme
• Prepare learners for readiness to sit functional skills exams
• Compliance with awarding body guidelines
• Planning of exams
• Following BePro’s processes and procedures

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
• An engaging communication style and able to build authentic and collaborative relationships
• Ability to work largely remotely with occasional travel
• Strong organisational / administration skills
• Ability to manage own diary
• Punctuality and professionalism
• Willingness to learn, develop and progress
• Experience in functional skills delivery
• Maths and English Level 2 qualification or equivalent

DESIREABLE CRITERIA
• Experience in apprenticeships
• Experience in working in adult education
• Teaching qualification
